Rough experience for Megan: when her motel allocation ran out, she made plans to stay with friends but her plans fell through at the last minute. Too late in the day to be able to check in at a local shelter, poor Megan is reduced to sleeping in her car like tens of thousands of Americans every day. Her experience is almost “complete” with a thief breaking into cars next to her (homeless folks are the first victims of crime in our society, not they have much to steal but they’re easy prey…).
