Over a year ago, Megan Sears and her two sons lost their home in Oroville, CA. A full-time nursing student working part-time to pay bills, Megan was forced out when a new landlord jacked up rates and decided to not renew tenants with animals. On a tight budget and without family close-by, Megan faced a nightmare that threatens many: homelessness. Today though, thanks to her hard work and help from the Chico Housing Action Team (CHAT), she got her life back. Respectful Revolution had interviewed her during her ordeal and this now is her story, filled with wisdom and gratitude.
