Portraits from the Street: Alycia Cooper - How to make Life on the Street More Bearable?

Being insulted, pelted, even reportedly SHOT AT for being HOMELESS... REALLY ?!?!? As if it's not enough to have to constantly secure your meager possessions and your own person from predators (people without a home are by far the first victims of crime in our society), unhoused people are constantly faced with contempt, hatred and discrimination.
How do you rise above that? In RR's latest portrait from the street, we meet Alycia Cooper, an articulate woman who's trying to rebuild her life from the ground up after being the victim of extreme domestic violence. Hear what she has to say about the first-level needs that would make (hopefully temporary) life on the street more humane and bearable.
