A City Council votes on a Tiny House Village for Low-Income Citizens: How it's Done in Chico, CA.

Providing affordable housing to low-income citizens, including people who had been forced onto the streets, has been the commendable endeavor of the Chico Housing Action Team (CHAT) for the past six years. This is a huge day for the organization though as, following several failed attempts, they again bring their project of building a tiny house village to the Chico City Council. After the nearby and devastating Camp Fire, which closely followed election day, the pendulum has swung again, giving a better chance for a charitable project to pass. But fear, prejudice and opposition are still active.
More than just a boring City Council meeting, we hope this short video serves as an exciting example that may catalyze change in other communities as well. If CHAT and its supporters can convince the City Council...
