Linley Dixon, the Landless Farmer
Together with her friend Werner Heiber, Linley Dixon is an active participant in a food production revolution that is as quiet as it is important. Young farmers like Linley can’t afford land of their own, but they have both critical food growing skills and a willingness to put them to good use. Many land owners, especially in town where land is more expensive, would love to dedicate at least part of their land surface to growing food, but they have neither the knowledge nor the time. Now landless farmers like Linley and Werner offer the possibility for home-owners to fulfill their dream of seeing food growing around their houses, and of putting some of it on their dining tables. A relationship of trust, respect and mutual interest is established, and everyone benefits in the end without any money being exchanged.
